A Window to Goa

Traditional Goan homes are incomplete without capiz shell windows that allow cool breeze and pleasant sunlight in and the lush, vibrant garden they open out onto. This puzzle brings those fragrant blooms alive as they surround the ornate window. Thriving in the tropical climate, you’ll see frangipani, yellow champak, ginger flowers, blue pea and passion fruit climbers, with shade-giving gulmohar trees.

About the artist

Tamsin Noronha is a mixed-media artist based in Goa, creating expressive paintings, large-scale murals and distinctive artworks from upcycled materials. Her work celebrates nature while encouraging a more conscious relationship with the environment. She is active in her community through workshops and beach clean-up drives, and hopes to spark curiosity and joy with her art.
