Something Fishy in Goa

This imaginative puzzle is inspired by Goa’s signature blue ceramic tiles, azulejo. Out for her weekly Friday shopping, a pig and her piglet stop to buy fish from a hen. The hen’s husband sits close by, also hawking fish, setting the stage for a little friendly competition and banter! Their cozy home among trees completes the picture of a typical day in Goa. 

About the artist

Nadia De Souza is a Goa-based freelance artist and illustrator. She paints primarily in watercolours with nature and animals being her biggest source of inspiration. She has had shows at The Kala Academy, The Serendipity Arts Festival and Sunaparanta Centre For The Arts in Goa, as well as illustrated for The Peacock magazine at the IFFI.  In 2025, she was part of a group show in Bangalore called A Separate Reality - a De Sousa family show at the Gallery Time And Space.
